For those of you who couldn’t make it, we feel truly sorry for you. For those of you who were there we say thank you for making it a great night. And what a night it was! The folks at Graziano’s Casa Mia put on a heck of a spread, featuring pasta, seafood, chicken cacciatore and the best calamari we’ve ever had, anywhere. The room was packed with wonderful people, all singing along — and Newfies dancing everywhere! We even had a proposal on stage. She said yes!

• Squid are marine cephalopods of the order Teuthida, which comprises around 300 species.
• Squid have eight arms arranged in pairs and two longer tentacles.
• Thier skin is covered in chromatophores, which enable the squid to change color to suit its surroundings, making it effectively invisible.
• Squid is a food high in Selenium, Vitamin B12, and Riboflavin.
• The Kraken is a legendary tentacled monster possibly based on sightings of real giant squid.
• Squid have three hearts.

The Good folks down at Harbor Fish Market in that beautiful town that is seated by the sea — Portland, Maine — show us the ins and outs of dressing out a squid. We like ours grilled. But I bet there’s a bunch of different ways to cook ‘em.
